We arrived at Simballay after the sun sets, when the sky was already dark and the streets was filled with different people. Even then, nabunturan was alive and awake. Someone tested a drumbeat slow, while vendors is on the street getting ready for their items to be sold. The Simballay Festival had not yet begun, and yet it was already happening, the way a heartbeat happens before you notice it. The ceremony began with inspirational messages from our instructors, each reminding us of the responsibility and compassion that come with the professions we'll be in. Hearing their words made me reflect on the challenges I had overcome, sleepless nights of studying, skills practice, and moments of self-doubt that pushed me to work even harder. It was comforting to realize that every struggle had led me to this moment of recognition. The highlight of the event, of course, was the ...

The PESLA sessions focused on personal empowerment and social awareness. One of the speakers discussed the importance of knowing our strengths and weaknesses, reminding us that leadership starts with self-understanding. PESLA taught me that leadership is not about being the loudest, but about being responsible, compassionate, and willing to listen. Meanwhile, the LEGS sessions highlighted the practical side of leadership. The speakers shared insights on time management, handling responsibilities, and becoming role models in school. LEGS helped me und...

Even though it was only a mock job interview, the pressure I felt was very real. On the morning of the interview, I was filled with nervous energy. My thoughts kept circling around the questions I might be asked and whether I would appear confident enough. It felt as if every worry I had decided to show up at once, reminding me of how important this moment was for my growth. When I arrived at the school and sat down for the interview, my heart was racing. However, as the interviewer began speaking, I reminded myself why I wanted to pursue nursing in the first place, to help, to care, and to make a difference. Slowly, my nerves began to settle. I focused on each question, answering with honesty and letting my passion guide me. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real. An...
